Musical Musings from Elsewhere

As I have mentioned before, writing is my current passion, and unfortunately, it keeps me elsewhere most of the time right now. I haven't forgotten my music for a second, though, and hope to be writing more here in the future as well.

In the meantime, there is still much to share here from these many "elsewheres". For example, here is my latest musical entry on Yahoo...

It deals with the sometimes subtle, sometimes not differences in the vocal stylings of singers in the realm of rock duets. I think you will all enjoy it. Everything from Led Zeppelin to Alice in Chains is covered.

I also wrote about my friend, Amber Michael, who is an artistic director at the haunt where I work. She recently did some fantastic work for the new Black Label Society video.

Musical Endeavors in Writing

Being busy with my writing often causes my musical endeavors to take a backseat. Still, it is good to have that outlet to share music through. In that regard, I'd like to at least share here what I and others have been sharing in our writing that connects with our love of music.

The next is a link to a brilliant piece of writing by a dear friend which I think eloquently captures the true essence of what it is like as we musicians are embarking on another night's adventures onstage. It also conveys to me the essence of being a musician in general. It wasn't quite understood on the writing site where it was originally published, but I think it will be much more appreciated here!
